{"id":360,"date":"2011-08-09T14:30:18","date_gmt":"2011-08-09T18:30:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eatcooklive.com\/?p=360"},"modified":"2011-08-10T13:30:53","modified_gmt":"2011-08-10T17:30:53","slug":"pescatore-a-midtown-lunch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eatcooklive.com\/?p=360","title":{"rendered":"Pescatore &#8211; A Midtown Lunch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A quick lunch with co-workers at Pescatore (Italian for fisherman).<\/p>\n<p>The Smoked Salmon Sandwich was good.\u00c2\u00a0 Not amazing, not innovative, just the smoked salmon, red onions, arugula, capers, and a generous amount lemon dill mayo.\u00c2\u00a0 Simple and done right\u00e2\u20ac\u201denough for me to want another, to make me trust what they do, and to make me go back and try something new.<\/p>\n<p>What got me excited though was the cucumber-yogurt soup.\u00c2\u00a0 Light, fresh, with a bit of that yogurt tart.\u00c2\u00a0 Some chives for a few fun spikes of flavor.\u00c2\u00a0 Perfect for a hot humid day.\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m sure it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a simple recipe; I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m going to have to hunt for one and make it for the next roommate dinner.<\/p>\n<p>On a final note, the atmosphere at Pescatore is clam and pleasant.\u00c2\u00a0 And staff actually spoke Italian.\u00c2\u00a0 A server to two young Italian men at the table behind me and (shockingly) in the kitchen\u00e2\u20ac\u201dthere were actually people yelling at each other in Italian!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pescatore<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> 955 2nd Avenue<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> New York, NY 10022<\/strong><br \/>\nwww.pescatorerestaurant.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A quick lunch with co-workers at Pescatore (Italian for fisherman).
