{"id":477,"date":"2011-11-26T18:45:39","date_gmt":"2011-11-26T22:45:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eatcooklive.com\/?p=477"},"modified":"2011-11-27T19:11:21","modified_gmt":"2011-11-27T23:11:21","slug":"brooklyn-local-two","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eatcooklive.com\/?p=477","title":{"rendered":"Brooklyn Local Two"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eatcooklive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Brooklyn-Local-Two1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-479 alignright\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" title=\"Brooklyn Local Two\" src=\"http:\/\/www.eatcooklive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Brooklyn-Local-Two1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"107\" height=\"419\" \/><\/a>After trying <a title=\"Brooklyn Local One\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eatcooklive.com\/?p=460\">Brooklyn Local One<\/a>, I knew I had to get my hands on a bottle of Brooklyn Local Two. \u00c2\u00a0The Local Two, a\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/beeradvocate.com\/beer\/style\/56\">Belgian Strong Dark Ale<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 with a 9.00%\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/beeradvocate.com\/articles\/518\">ABV<\/a>,\u00c2\u00a0is a completely different beer from the Local One.<\/p>\n<p>Appearance: \u00c2\u00a0This beer is dark brown, like a well brewed coffee. \u00c2\u00a0The head is extremely\u00c2\u00a0solid with a white\/brown color. \u00c2\u00a0Both the texture and\u00c2\u00a0appearance of head reminded me of a substantial foam on a cappuccino after its been stirred and taken on a slight coffee color.<\/p>\n<p>(The coffee analogies end at\u00c2\u00a0appearance&#8211;there is no hint of it in the smell or flavor.)<\/p>\n<p>Smell: \u00c2\u00a0Yeasty, like fresh bread or bread dough.<\/p>\n<p>Taste: \u00c2\u00a0It&#8217;s like a\u00c2\u00a0cinnamon\u00c2\u00a0roll without the cinnamon. \u00c2\u00a0There is some mild yeasty tartness balanced with caramel flavor and a little sweetness.<\/p>\n<p>Overall: \u00c2\u00a0It&#8217;s a good beer, but I&#8217;m just not head over heels for this style in general. \u00c2\u00a0If you like the style I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;d love this beer, but I&#8217;ll be keeping my eyes open for the Local One.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After trying Brooklyn Local One, I knew I had to get my hands on a bottle of Brooklyn Local Two. \u00c2\u00a0The Local Two, a\u00c2\u00a0Belgian Strong Dark Ale\u00c2\u00a0 with a 9.00%\u00c2\u00a0ABV,\u00c2\u00a0is a completely different beer from the Local One.
